HOW TO START LEARNING MUSIC (Part 2)

As we saw in the previous part, every notes should stand for at least twenty minutes. When we first start learning music, we will only practice on pure tone. One of the main parts of Vocal music is to increase the range of voice. Usually we practice within 3 saptaks. The seven words mean the combination of 7 notes. That is sa, re, ga, ma, pa, dha, ni. The combination of these 7 notes is called Saptak in Indian Classical Music. There are 3 types of these seven. They are Madhya saptak, Mandra saptak and Taar saptak. The seven is the combination of notes from the middle sa to ni. Mandra Saptak is a combination of notes from the middle to the bottom and its seven is the combination of notes from upper sa to upper ni.

We need to start practicing at least twenty minutes to "SAA" and then slowly practice the lower tones. For example we have to do "Ni" after "SAA" and then "Dha" etc. In this way, that is seen at the bottom note is not matching the voice, then the previous note that was matching the voice should continue to stand. This practice should be continued in two ways for at least 15 minutes with "OM" and "AA". Then it can be seen that the voice is going to the next voice automatically. In this way we can increase the range of our voice down a lot.

Then we have to stand each and every note very slowly from the "SAA" to the "SAA" in Madhya saptak. We must be carefull that the voice shoul not go to shake and that voice directly matches with that note. That voice should not touch any other note to match the voice. In this way we have to go up to the upper "SAA" to make each note stand in the octave. After matching the voice at the top, you have to slowly go down to the bottom again. During the practice when we rise from the bottom to the top, then it is called "Aarohan" and from the top to the bottom the name is called "Aborohan".

I'm finishing the second part here. In this way you all can practice. I hope you will all benifited in this way. If someone has difficulty understanding somewhere then write to me in the comments section. And let me know in the comments if you also have benefited. That will give me a lot of encouragement. I will bring the next part to you very soon. Stay with me till then, stay by my side.
