Difference Between Rhythm And Tempo

Hellow everyone. How are you all? I hope you are all very well. In the previous part that we discussed about 4 rhythms. I hope I have been able to discuss those rhythms in detail. If I miss a point, please let me know in the comments box and if anyone has any difficulty in understanding, let me know. Hopefully I can clear everyone's doubts. Today we will talk about the velocity or tempo of rhythm. I hope you all like this part too. So let's get started.

Today we will discuss the tempo of one of those 4 rhythms that we discussed in the previous part. We will discuss how to use 2 matra or 3 matra in one beat of rhythm. We know that Keherwa taal is -

Keherwa : Dha Ge Na Ti I Na Ka Dhi Na. That means  1  2  3  4  I  5  6  7  8 - This is how the rhythm works. Many times we have to say 2 matras in one beat. That means Dha Ge - These 2 matras have to be said in one beat.

Dha Ge  Na Ti  Na Ka  Dhi Na I Dha Ge  Na Ti  Na Ka  Dhi Na

Here it is seen that two matras are used in each beat. We have to say the whole rhythm twice and that is to say, at double speed (X2). In exactly the same way we will use three matras out of one beat, it has to be said three times. That means -

Dha Ge Na  Ti Na Ka  Dhi Na Dha  Ge Na Ti I Na Ka Dhi  Na Dha Ge  Na Ti Na   Ka Dhi Na

Thus, if you use three matras in a beat, it is called triple. Here it is seen that the complete rhythm has to be said three times and that is to say, at three times the speed (X3). If you say it four times in this way, you will see that the rhythm has to be said 4 times in full and that has to be said at four times the speed.

Dha Ge Na Ti  Na Ka Dhi Na I Dha Ge Na Ti  Na Ka Dhi Na I Dha Ge Na Ti  Na Ka Dhi Na I Dha Ge Na Ti  Na Ka Dhi Na

It is seen that in this case 4 matras out of one beat are being used. And remember, we have to say that four times faster. When we practice these rhythms with clapping hands, In each beat at that time is how many matras we are using and at what speed, you have to practice with maintaining it.

I hope I can have explained in detail how to tell the 8 matras of rhythm with these four types of speed. We can use these rhythms with more different speeds. That is the part that I will discuss with you later. Please let me know what you think of this part. The "Contact Us" page contains my contact details. From there you can contact me. You can also write in the comment box, if there is any difficulty in understanding. If you like my posts, please share them with your friends. I will bring the next part for you very soon. You will all be very well and healthy. Thank you all very much.
